My Beloved;
If words can keep us together, then this should mean something to you
The tides can wash away the cities, the wind can carry the world away
But nothing as long as we stand together can get in the way of us two
I promise this, each and every time the sun rises with the morning dew
There may be times where we annoy each other, cry and bicker till we pass out
There may be times where we are tested, and brought to our knees
But believe me when I say I will stay true to you, without a doubt
Every promise I've made, every smile I've felt and seen, I have not forgotten
The distance that can separate can be a huge obstacle at times
And that at times, feelings must be put into action more so than words
And these words may not be enough, no, these poets rhymes
Sometimes don't shine through, but the spaces between never last
If words keep us together, then this means something to the both of us
The people can get in the way, anything can try to put us apart
But nothing as long as we stand together can get in the way, if we trust
I promise this, each and every time the sun rises with our heart

Loving blindly .
Darling, there was always a difference between
who you are and how you made me feel;
Instant competition, perfect opposition,
I just chose to turn my compass backwards.
I cared too much about how the poison tasted
to notice I was drinking it while
forcing it down your throat.
I was too blind in bliss to see that
when we kissed, you spit it all in my mouth.
And when you gave me a mocking grin
while watching my body decay at your feet,
I wonder why did I always see
a loving smile?
I guess that's why our hearts are not eyes
and they beat on the left -
there's nothing right about loving blindly.

would you
You would think that kissing a poet would be different,
that in that moment,
your souls would touch and sizzle like fire and water,
that a gateway between minds would expand
into being,
and you would share the deepened images
outlined in words, words, words
to give them definition
that only poets' minds can see.
You would think...
You would imagine that in tiny valleys
of each puckered lip
would reign the fertile soil of concept,
expelling long planted ideas as they met,
a wicked cross pollination of images,
blossoming into new species that bathed in
the tropical heat-moisture of human contact.
A natural spreading of the seeds, stanza

Held
When you took me from my petal
and cupped my frailty
between your hands,
it was like my chrysalis was back
and I am changing again.
It was just as warm as I
paintbrushed your palms
with my monarch wings.
You opened up your smallest fingers,
and I saw five hundred facets
of your child's eye.
I saw every angle of your innocence,
I saw the sheen on your corneas
when you flitted those threadbare wings.
I saw the shoebox with corners
like a prism.
And your call was so loud
when you carried me home.
And I witnessed
your five hundred pins,
and five hundred books.
With five hundred fingers you
pinched me out,
and held me to brutal surgery.
I can

this is amazingly beautiful. It rings love and I love the word choices. I also like the theme that it is eternal. Not very many things are so this makes it very special.
